Robotics

My journey with FIRST robotics and the Forest Hills Robotics League started over half a decade ago when I became a member of an FLL (First LEGO League) team. I have remained a member of the FIRST community since and as a high schooler I now participate in FTC (First Tech Challenge).

My Team

I am proud to be a member and the co-captain of team #8721 Mighty Mechanics. We're a community-based FTC team based out of Forest Hills, Queens. Over the past decade, the Mighty Mechs have built a strong reputation in the NYC FIRST community. I first joined the Mighty Mechs at the start of the '23 season and since then I have climbed to the rank of co-captain. Our team prides itself on our community outreach and routinely wins the FTC Connect Award at competitions. In March 2024, we advanced to the World Championships for FTC and competed in Houston with teams from all over the world.

My Skillset

I am the head programmer of my team and I work in Java using the FTC SDK. My work involving our robot's autonomous capabilities has given me significant experience working with Linear Algebra and Calculus. More importantly, my work requires me to have great teamworking skills, and challenges me to problem-solve when things do not work on the first try.
